Board and Committee Application Process Reopened

By City Staff

The City of Sarnia is reopening its application process to appoint 2017/2018 Board and Committee members. All applicants who previously applied are required to resubmit their application using the new application form available at www.smartsarnia.com.

During the initial application process, which ran from November 9th to 23rd, the number of applications received was insufficient to fill the required appointments.

A new online application form is now available. The new application is more user-friendly and streamlines the application intake process. Applicants who have already submitted their applications are advised that they are required to re-submit an application with the new online application system.

The following City of Sarnia boards and committees are accepting applications for the upcoming 2017-2018 term: Arena Advisory Committee, Bi-National Public Advisory Council (BPAC), Bluewater Trails Committee, Court of Revision Under the Drainage Act, Fence Viewers, Lambton County Historical Society, Lambton Farm Safety Association, Planning Advisory Committee, Poultry and Livestock Valuator, Sarnia Heritage Committee, Sarnia Accessibility & Advisory Committee (SAAC), Sarnia Transit Advisory Committee, and Sarnia Police Services Board.

Applications to City of Sarnia boards and committees will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. December 29, 2016.

Sarnia City Council will consider appointments to boards and committees at a closed session meeting on January 16, 2017; the appointments will take effect immediately.
