Overnight Parking Ends November 1

By City Staff

On November 1, 2017, overnight parking on City of Sarnia streets will end.

Overnight, on-street, parking restrictions will again be in effect from November 1, 2017 to April 30, 2018.  Any vehicle parked on a City street between 2:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. will be in violation of the By-Law and can be ticketed.

“Overnight, on-street parking restrictions enable the City to conduct necessary snow removal work throughout months where snowfall is expected,” explains Adam MacDonald, Supervisor of By-law Enforcement.

Overnight parking of licensed personal automobiles and motorcycles on residential streets is allowed between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. from May 1 to October 31, annually.  These vehicles can park on the street for a maximum of 12 hours.
