Members of the public can engage on issues before City Council by appearing as a delegation, or providing written input.

Delegations

Any person desiring to address Council must file with the Clerk a letter or brief outlining his/her proposal or request. A written request to address Council, along with any written material to be distributed to Council, must be submitted to the City Clerk no later than noon on the Wednesday prior to the Council meeting in order to be considered. The Clerk may request additional information from the delegate, if it is deemed necessary, in order to give Council a clear understanding of the issue to be discussed.

Presentations are limited to a maximum of 10 minutes.

Written submissions

The public can also provide written input on City Council matters via the City Clerk’s Office.

Submissions are encouraged to be submitted by noon on the Wednesday prior to Council.
