Winter 2024 Public Skating Schedule

We are excited to offer the below Winter Public Skating Sessions starting in the New Year. Some time and facility adjustments have been made to ensure diverse and quality service provisions for more residents, including an additional Adult Skate session.

Note: The City does not provide skates or assisting devices
Running: January 8 to March 22, 2024

NO SKATING: January 7, January 12, January 14, February 19

Public Skating Rules & Regulations

Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

All participants must vacate the building within 15 minutes of the end of the skating session.

Activities and items that are not permitted on the ice during Public Skating sessions include:

  • No food or drink
  • No horseplay/games
  • No skating backwards or speed skating
  • No figure skating maneuvers
  • No skating against the direction of flow of skaters
  • No sticks, pucks, balls, pylons, or any other kind of hockey/sport equipment
  • No headsets, cell phones, or hand-held electronic devices to be used while skating
  • No shoes or any other footwear other than ice skates
  • No strollers or other assisting devices that may interfere with skaters’ safety
  • Ice-certified skating aids are allowed during Parent & Tot sessions only
  • Wheelchairs and other accessibility devices are allowed, so long as they always remain in control of a skater
  • No carrying of children is to be permitted
  • No sitting on the boards
  • No throwing of ice or snow or any other objects

Maximum 120 skaters on ice.

Any participants disobeying rules will be asked to leave the session, and may be excluded from future skating sessions.
