Animal Control/Dog Licences

Animal Control
OVERVIEW
The role of the Animal Control Officer is to enforce City By-laws as they pertain to animals in the City of Sarnia. The By-laws in question are the Animal Control By-law and Dog and Cat By-Law which includes dogs running at large, fouling, etc. and the Noise By-law (barking dogs). Animal Control Officers will patrol City streets and parks routinely to ensure violators are aware of the City by-laws as they apply to animal control, and to lay charges under the by-law. Please call 519 332 0330 extension 351; TTY: 519 332 2664 at City Hall for Animal Control. Impound, stray animal and other services are provided to the City through an agreement with the Sarnia and District Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (The Humane Society) at 131 Exmouth Street. The Humane Society can be contacted at 519 344 7064.
