In Rural Lambton, communities including Forest, Plympton-Wyoming, Petrolia, Watford, Corunna, Courtright, Mooretown and Sombra offer a variety of housing at even more affordable prices. All are no more than a 30-minute commute from Central Sarnia. Lake Huron to north and the St. Clair River to the west provide the region with one of its greatest natural assets. From Sarnia to Grand Bend, various types of permanent homes and summer cottages take advantage of Lake Huron's picturesque settings. Similarly, the communities of Corunna, Mooretown, Courtright, Sombra and Port Lambton offer waterfront locations along the shores of the St. Clair River.

Real Estate Up-Date

The Sarnia-Lambton Real Estate Board reports that the local real estate market is heading for a record breaking year.  July, 2007 marks another record month with the most sales in any month yet this year at 191, totaling more than $40 million (up from $38.7 million in June).  Michelle Timmers, Sarnia-Lambton Real Estate Board President noted that the average Sarnia-Lambton home is now priced at $175,407.  Ms. Timmers also stated that local real estate sales to the end of July have already achieved 73 per cent of the 2006 annual sales figure and with five months to go December should bring big news.  The all-time record for a single year was set in 2006, when sales surpassed $304.4 million.
