Message from the Director of Finance:
The Finance Department, under the direction of the Director of Finance, is responsible for the administration of all the financial activities of the Corporation in accordance with Provincial legislation and regulations. The Finance Department undertakes all accounting functions including payroll, accounts payables and receivables, and money management. The Finance Department is also responsible for management of the annual financial planning processes including the Current, Capital and Water Budgets, and regular Budget Status reporting processes.
Tax Bills are issued by the Finance Department, which are also collected by the Department for the City as well as the County and School Boards.
The Department is also responsible for all Purchasing functions.
