Garden Plots - Germain Gardens

For those in the Community who may not have the opportunity to enjoy gardening, Parks and Recreation offers areas at Germain and Canatara Parks.

Each citizen’s garden size is approximately 20 ft by 20 ft and the land is ploughed, almost ready for planting, by the beginning of May each year. Gardens must be cleared of all plant top growth by the end of October.

Compost and water are provided for the gardeners however, garden tools are not provided.

All gardeners are responsible to maintain their plots free of weeds and to keep ½ of the pathway between plots clear of plant growth.

Gardeners who have had a plot last year have the first opportunity to retain their plot for the following year and the plots are allocated by April 1st of each year
