Tree Plant Donation
The City of Sarnia's Urban Forestry Section would like to inform citizens that we are pleased to be able to offer a commemorative tree planting program.

This program may be used to remember a loved one, to celebrate a birth or marriage, as a gift to a graduating student, or for any special occasion.

The tree will be planted in any of our municipal parks for a very reasonable fee.  Please call to speak directly to our Arborist to discuss fees, selection of tree and time of planting.

Commemorative Tree Planting Program
Plant a tree in honour of a famiy member or friend; celebrate a new child, a graduate or even an anniversary.  Whatever the occasion the legacy is yours to give.  The City Arborist would be happy to assist you with the selection and a site for your tree in one of our beautiful parks.

Donations pay for the cost of purchasing the tree, as well as fertilizing, watering and pruning.  In the event that the tree dies prematurely, another tree will be planted in its place.  All donations are eligible for charitable receipts for taxation purposes.

When we Plant
Trees will be planted in the spring during the months of April through to June, and also in the fall in the month of November.  Please note that there are certain trees that can only be planted in the spring.

Also, if he person would like a flowering tree instead of a shade tree, we may plant that tree in the Germain Gardens or on the grounds around the gardens if there is space.

Payment

Payment will be made to the Parks and Recreation Department either by mail or in person, cash or cheque.  We will need payment in full before the tree is planted.
