Compost Site
Hours of the Compost Site:
Mondays and Wednesdays (April 1st to December 11th) from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday (April 6th to December 14th) from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Compostables can be dropped off at the City of Sarnia’s Compost Site. There is no charge for dumping leaves, grass, and garden waste. There is a small fee for brush drop off.
Compost Collection Information
· Brush includes trees up to four inches in diameter, hedges, shrubs, and rose bushes.
· Compostables must be in clear or paper bags, or open containers (marked on 2 sides with an “X”), no heavier than 48 lbs.
· Brush must be tied in bundles no longer than four feet or in open containers (marked on 2 sides with an “X”).
· The maximum number of bundles or containers of brush per residence during regular weekly pick up is 10.
· The City also accepts stumps at the compost site.

· City wide compost and brush collection are not dependent on zone area. Zones are for recycling only.
