An appointment is required for the Foot Care Clinic.
Please call the Strangway Community Centre to arrange for your foot care appointment.
COST: $24.00 per half hour appointment
MINIMUM: 6 people
Please arrive 15 minutes early so you can soak your feet before your scheduled appointment. This greatly assists the nurse.
Also, please bring to each appointment a basin to soak your feet in, a towel and hand cream if you want this rubbed on your feet.
Each foot care appointment is one half hour in length. First time clients to the Foot Care Clinic will be required to fill out a health questionnaire and the nurse will assess the condition of the feet.
Depending on the condition of the feet, first time clients and clients who have not had their feet looked after for a long period of time, may require longer than a half hour appointment. If this is the case, clients will be advised to book another appointment for as soon as possible.
If you cancel your foot care appointment with less than 24 hours notice you will be required to pay half the cost of the appointment.

EYEGLASSES and/or EYEGLASS CASES You No Longer Need
Knowing these items you might otherwise throw away, will provide someone less fortunate with better sight.
Rayjon would like the Centre to collect unwanted eyeglasses or cases from its members.
These items will be distributed in Third World Countries.
Minor Woodworking Repair Service
Members of the Strangway Hobby Shop are offering a minor woodworking repair service. This service is open to anyone in the community. The cost is dependant on what needs to be done. Members of the Hobby Shop will assess what repairs are required, whether or not they will be able to do the repair, and then determine the cost. (There will be a minimum fee of $10.00)
This service will not include any form of electrical work or welding. You must be able to carry the item you want repaired in and out of the Hobby Shop on your own. (Sorry large items can not be accommodated.)
This service is for wood related items only (e.g. wooden chairs, small tables, etc.) For more information call the Strangway Community Centre.
