The following is an excerpt from the Streets By-Law 145 of 1991 as it pertains to snow removal for commercial properties.
The occupants of buildings and the owners of unoccupied buildings or vacant lands fronting or abutting on the parts of the streets listed in Schedule "A" to this By-Law shall clear away and remove all snow and ice from the respective sidewalks on such streets in front of or alongside such buildings or lands within the first four (4) hours of daylight. The occupants of buildings and the owners of unoccupied buildings fronting or abutting on the said portions of the said streets shall clear and keep clear all snow and ice from all portions of such buildings from which such snow or ice might fall upon such streets.
