Planning Advisory Committee

The Planning Act allows a Municipal Council to appoint a Planning Advisory Committee to assist it on any planning matter. In 1991 Sarnia City Council reinstituted the Planning Advisory Committee to deal with special projects, such as the Official Plan, and appointed 7 citizens, plus administrative staff to the committee. Meetings are held at the call of the Chair.
