Reported out of the closed meeting. Sarnia City Council met in closed session:
- To discuss employment related matters about an identifiable individual. No votes were taken other than to give direction to staff. Staff were directed to make the necessary adjustment to the compensation for the Interim CAO.
- Staff were directed to consult Council on senior staff vacancies until February 15, 2019.
Directed staff to conduct the recruitment for a Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) utilizing in-house Human Resources.
Approved a by-law appointing Alan Shaw, Director of Community Development Services and Standards, as Interim Chief Administrative Officer.
A Budget Deliberations Meeting will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, and the next Regular Council Meeting will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 21.
