The City of Sarnia confirms that two City
Hall employees have tested positive for COVID-19.
Andrew Taylor, General Manager of Lambton Public Health (LPH) states that, “LPH staff will follow up with any close contacts of positive cases. There is no evidence at this time that there has been transmission of COVID-19 in the workplace and as such LPH has not declared an outbreak at City Hall.”
The City of Sarnia will continue to follow the guidance and recommendations of LPH to determine the best course of action to safeguard City Staff and the public. Out of an abundance of caution, the Senior Management Team is directing all staff at City Hall and the administrative staff at Public Works and Transit to work from home for the weeks of December 21st and 28th.
