It is with mixed emotions that the City advises that Holly Reynolds, City Treasurer, is retiring. Holly has made significant contributions to the City and the Senior Management Team during her almost 5-year tenure. “I would like to express my gratitude to Holly for her service, particularly her expertise and leadership, including the integral role she has played in the City’s budget,” states Michelle Alton, General Manager of Corporate Services.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to work for the City and serve its citizens. I have learned so much about the City that is home and have a much better understanding and respect for the property taxes I pay. The breadth of activities that the City undertakes is amazing and every day here has been interesting and different,” explains Holly Reynolds.

Additionally, the City is pleased to announce that Jane Qi has accepted the position of City Treasurer, effective June 6, 2022.

Jane is an accomplished financial professional with a solid background in accounting. She has been a fundamental piece of the Finance Department and has spent the last 11 years as a Financial Analyst, supporting the preparation of the annual financial statements and the development and management of corporate financial policies.

“I am very excited to take on this role as City Treasurer and will strive to build the city’s financial sustainability,” Jane explains.

Jane is a CPA, CA, and in 2019 graduated from the MBA program through Laurentian University. She is an open-minded and strategic thinker who has had the opportunity of working closely and collaboratively with the finance team.

“I am very excited to work with Jane in her new role. Jane brings extensive experience and knowledge and I look forward to her continuing to support the City’s goals through sound financial management,” states Michelle Alton.
