The Sarnia Primary Control Group (SPCG) met via teleconference on June 22, 2020, at 9:15 a.m. regarding developments related to the COVID-19.

Sarnia-Lambton is currently in Stage 2, working towards Stage 3 of the Framework for Reopening our Province.

The City would like to thank the citizens of Sarnia for their continued commitment to public health directives aimed at slowing the spread of COVID-19.  We would also like to remind citizens that the virus is still actively present within the community as there are currently two local outbreaks.

The City is supporting businesses interested in expanding their presence outdoors. If an establishment is operating a patio, it must take appropriate measures as per provincial and public health guidelines.

Businesses are asked to notify the City of their temporary expansion or establishment of a patio. Liquor sales licensees who wish to temporarily extend the physical size of their existing licensed patio, or temporarily add a new licensed patio will need to obtain approval.
