The Sarnia Primary Control Group (SPCG) met via teleconference on May 30, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. regarding developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lambton Public Health has confirmed that in order to meet the increased testing demand, effective today, drive-through testing is available at the COVID-19 assessment centre located at Sarnia Twin Bridges Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic.

The drive-through assessment centre at 153 Christina Street will operate at the Front Street entrance of the clinic. Hours of operation are Monday to Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily.

The City of Sarnia would like to take this opportunity to thank the community for their ongoing diligence, we recognize that citizens have been tasked with a great amount of responsibility to protect everyone in our community and so far everyone has been doing their part.  We appreciate everyone’s efforts thus far, and together we will get through this one day at a time.

  • If you are in distress (e.g. significant trouble breathing, chest pain, fainting, or have a significant worsening of any chronic disease symptoms), do not go to an Assessment Centre. Call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest Emergency Department.
  • If you think you may have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who has symptoms, please self-isolate and use the Ontario Self-Assessment Tool to determine if you need to seek further care.

Provincial Orders

The Government of Ontario has extended the Declaration of Emergency under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act until June 9, 2020.
