October 12, 2023 — Families across the City can expect a haunting good time at Canatara Park on October 28 as Fright Night at Cana-Scare-A-Park returns for its second year.

The Halloween event — hosted in partnership with the Seaway Kiwanis Club — will once again promise plenty of frights and delights with an array of self-guided haunted houses and areas, alongside some new attractions for this year’s run.

“We’re excited to be bringing back Fright Night for another year, building on last year’s success and providing the opportunity for free Halloween fun to delight visitors of all ages,” said Recreation Superintendent Randy Shaw.

New to this year’s event will be the addition of two guided haunted walks, inviting participants to explore the park’s trails while enjoying some spooky stories. This year’s event will also feature a new Monster Mash Halloween-themed dance party, and Goblin Grub at the Carriage House where attendees can purchase a bite to eat.

Visitors can also check out the newly-added Bone Collector garbage truck fully decked out for the spooky season. Other attractions include The Painted Cat Dark Carnival blacklight temporary tattoos; haunted train rides on the Children’s Choo Choo Train; and the Running Dead zombie run.

The event, with the exception of food sales, is completely free and runs from 5 to 10 p.m. For full details visit www.sarnia.ca/Events.
