At its meeting on October 26, 2020, Sarnia City Council passed a motion to consult with the community on the future of the Sarnia Chris Hadfield Airport.

Starting Thursday, November 5, there will be lots of ways for the community to share their input.

Join us for an online Open House on November 25 at 4:00 p.m. Interested participants are invited to register via Speak Up Sarnia at www.speakupsarnia.ca/airport. The open house will also be open for virtual drop-in visitors so anyone can tune in once it starts.

Participate in an online public survey and tell us how you feel about the future of Sarnia Airport. The survey will be available on Speak Up Sarnia starting November 5 until noon on November 27, 2020.

The community can also send through their comments via email to planning@sarnia.ca or leave a hard copy letter with Customer Service on the main floor of City Hall before noon on November 27, 2020.

City Staff will compile the results of the survey and the comments received through other channels and will report back to Council at their scheduled meeting on December 7, 2020. From there, next steps in terms of moving forward will be determined.
