Parks maintenance Seasonal staff work hard in extreme summer heat and bring an exceptional level of service to our City’s green spaces while interacting positively with the public. Seasonal staff work as part of a team and perform a variety of general maintenance and clean-up duties to ensure our parks and public spaces are enjoyed by citizens and visitors alike.
Seasonal employees are safety conscious and always demonstrate safe work practices, follow instructions well, possess excellent teamwork skills and have the ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner. Seasonal employees work for a period of up to 6-months with the possibility for re-call the following year’s season depending on performance and the needs of the business .
- Parks Nursery Technician Diploma
- Experience in parks maintenance
- Class G Driver’s Licence with an abstract acceptable to City guidelines
- Related education and work experience
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience
