A film projector with a rocket taking off in the background, Smoke-free outdoor Movie Night, Feature Film: Lightyear, Friday, September 16, Centennial Park

Come to Centennial Park on Friday, Sept. 16 to enjoy a free screening of Lightyear and a night of family fun, in a healthy, smoke-free environment in partnership with Lambton Public Health.

Movies influence kids and their future behaviours. Tobacco imagery in popular shows and movies make youth more prone to tobacco and e-cigarette use. In fact 37 per cent of Ontario youth smokers say they began smoking because of what they saw in movies.

Festivities kick off at 4:30 p.m. with:

  • Inflatable bouncers
  • Interactive activities
  • Food vendors
  • Air brush tattoos

At 7 p.m. families can enjoy story time featuring children’s literary character Pete the Cat on a trip to outer space and Buzz Lightyear, followed by a message from Lambton Public Health and the outdoor movie.

Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair or blanket!
