Please be advised that a drop in style Public Information Centre will be held on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2024, between 5:30PM and 7:00PM to present the Michigan Avenue Reconstruction Project to the public.

The City of Sarnia and County of Lambton are collaborating on a proposed reconstruction of Michigan Avenue between Colborne Road and Indian Road in 2025. The project will include the replacement of forcemain and watermain as well as the continuation of bicycle lanes from Colborne Road to Indian Road. The planned work will include an overall widening of the road. The intended improvements aim to replace infrastructure currently in a poor state of repair, improve traffic safety, extend the active transportation network, and address the road condition.

The City will be hosting a drop in style public information centre to engage the public and display the proposed design for review. This information sharing session will provide the opportunity to review design plans which will be on display, discuss with members of the project team and provide input or feedback to the design.

The session will be held between 5:30p.m. and 7:00p.m. on Wednesday December 11, 2024. The meeting will be held in the Cafeteria at Northern Collegiate Institute and Vocational School, located at 940 Michigan Avenue. Please feel free to drop in at any time during this period. There will not be a specific address or group presentation at the beginning.
