PURPOSE:

Rezoning Application 7-2020-85 OF 2002 is a City initiated general housekeeping amendment to the Open Storage of Recreational Vehicles, Trailers and Boats provisions in Section 3.35 of the Zoning By-law.

The amendment proposes to allow residential property owners to store their recreational vehicle in their front-yard driveway between May 1 and October 31 of each year, and will remove subsection 3.35.2 Yards Where Permitted and move the regulations regarding the location, timing and setbacks to the Lot Maintenance By-law.

PLANNING ACT INFORMATION

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of Sarnia before the Zoning By-law Amendment application is approved or refused;

  1. the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the City of Sarnia to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal,
  • the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
