Two Public Information Sessions will be held on Thursday, March 19th and Tuesday, March 24th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the First Floor Lobby, Sarnia City Hall for staff to inform the public of the new licensing and regulatory framework for STAs, including:
- The approved standards approved by Council on March 2, 2020; and
- The approved licensing by-law and municipal accommodation tax (MAT) by-law approved by Council on February 10, 2020.
Staff will be available during this time to explain the new regulations and requirements for a STA licence. Staff will also be available to answer any questions on the recent changes and provide guidance in terms of how to apply for a license, the requirements for submission, and the timeframes.
