You can explore the City of Sarnia’s land inventory that lists all land owned by the municipality within the city via our online map.
Lands marked “Available” have been deemed surplus and are available for sale. These areas, marked in green, do not currently have development onsite but are being marketed for future industrial growth within the city.
Lands marked “Temporarily Unavailable / Conditionally Unavailable” are involved in a current lease agreement, City-initiated project, or otherwise. These lands have not been deemed surplus and are not currently for sale. Their status may change, depending on the conditions applicable.
Lands marked “Not Available” represent lands that are currently home to parks, utilities, buildings, and/or other municipal infrastructure. These lands are not surplus and are not for sale.

Parking lots are considered conditionally unavailable because they have not been declared surplus.
Unsolicited requests to purchase conditionally unavailable properties will be presented to Council and, for transparency purposes, should be declared surplus in an open session meeting of Sarnia City Council before expressions of intertest (EOI’s) are entertained or negotiations commence.
