The Economic Development Master Plan (EDMP) is a list of strategic directions for the City’s Economic Development department to prioritize over the next 10 years to support the local economy.
The EDMP aims to guide efforts to transform Sarnia into a dynamic hub of innovation while leveraging its industrial heritage and strategic location. It reflects up-to-date data, experiences and the input of local industry, business owners, employees, and residents. The plan outlines four focus areas for the department: Executing Best in Class Business Support and Programming; Maximizing the Potential of City-owned Assets; Amplifying Sarnia’s Competitive Advantage; and Leading Impactful Collaborative Partnerships.
