The Norm Perry Park Master Plan provides a wholistic design and vision for the future of the athletic facility. Built on extensive public input, the plan reflects the needs of users both now and into the future, providing us with a roadmap to enhance our ability to pursue funding grants, and guide decisions during the annual budget process.

Norm Perry Memorial Park is a 9.2-acre athletic park established in the 1920’s in central Sarnia. It was originally named Sarnia Athletic Park until it was renamed in honour of Sarnia Imperial football legend Norman Perry who won the Grey Cup twice with the team in the 1930’s.

As facilities within Norm Perry Park reach or are past end-of-life, advancing an overall master plan has been important process to manage the expectations around this well utilized facility. The process gave an opportunity to explore what a modernized space could look like and what alternative or additional programming opportunities would then exist for the facility and spaces.

The plan outlines an estimated $13-million worth of phased capital investment. Funding for these improvements requires Council approval via the budget process to advance.
