About the Position

As an essential member of our finance team, the Accounts Payable Clerk operates under the guidance of the Internal Controller. Key responsibilities include managing the weekly accounts payable cycle, efficiently processing a substantial volume of invoices for timely payment. This role is pivotal in ensuring adherence to proper approval procedures while also fulfilling general accounting duties. Position Requirements

  • College Diploma in Accounting or a related field
  • Three (3) months of related experience
  • An acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience may be considered

Demonstrated Skills and Abilities

  • Exceptional understanding of financial reporting, accounting concepts, accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Experienced in inputting journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with internal and external clients and customers with service excellence
  • Proven ability to investigate complaints and resolve in a highly professional and competent manner
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work effectively with multiple department teams and external vendors
  • Excellent accuracy of work and attention to detail
