Current detours

Route 7 – Cathcart

  • Indian and Cathcart intersection closure – buses will utilize Kemsley Drive and Spartan Avenue as a detour
  • Murphy and Cathcart intersection closure –  buses will travel east on Webster Drive, south on Grace Avenue, east on Cathcart Avenue, and southwest on Errol Road East as a detour
  • Colborne Road closure from Guthrie Drive to Errol Road – buses on will utilize Exmouth Street, Christina Street and Errol Road West as a detour

Route 8/14

Due to a construction-related closure on Exmouth Street, Sarnia Transit Route 8/14 will have a detour in effect starting Aug. 21, 2023.

The bus will depart Murphy Road Terminal and turn east on London Road before turning north on Lambton Mall Road and resuming its normal route. There will be no service on Pontiac Drive and Exmouth Street between Pontiac Drive and Lambton Mall Road while the detour is in effect.

  • Leaves Downtown for Murphy Road every 40 minutes, starting at 6:50 a.m. and continuing until 6:10 p.m.

Route 1/3 – Confederation/Wellington:

  • Leaves Murphy Road for Downtown as Route 1 every 40 minutes, starting at 8:10 a.m. and continuing until 4:50 p.m.
  • Leaves Downtown for Murphy Road as Route 3 every 40 minutes, starting at 7:40 a.m. and continuing until 4:30 p.m.

Route 2 – Devine:

  • Leaves Murphy Road for Downtown every 40 minutes, starting at 6:30 a.m. and continuing until 5:50 p.m.
  • Leaves Downtown for Murphy Road every 40 minutes, starting at 6:50 a.m. and continuing until 6:10 p.m.

Route 3/4 – Wellington / Maxwell:

  • Leaves Murphy Road via Wellington every 40 minutes, starting at 6:30 a.m. and continuing until 5:50 p.m.
  • Leaves Downtown via Maxwell every 40 minutes, starting at 6:50 a.m. and continuing until 6:10 p.m.

  • Leaves Northgate every 40 minutes, starting at 6:40 a.m. and continuing until 5:20 p.m.

Route 9 – Exmouth:

  • Leaves Murphy Road for Downtown every 20 minutes, starting at 6:30 a.m. and continuing until 6:10 p.m.
  • Leaves Murphy Road for College every 20 minutes, starting at 6:30 a.m. and continuing until 6:10 p.m.
  • Leaves Downtown every 20 minutes, starting at 6:50 a.m. and continuing until 6:10 p.m.
  • Leaves Murphy Road for Heritage Park every 60 minutes, starting at 6:45 a.m. and continuing until 5:45 p.m.

Route 12 – Point Edward:

  • Leaves Northgate every 60 minutes, starting at 7:10 a.m. and continuing until 6:10 p.m.

Route 14 – Sherwood:

  • Leaves Murphy Road every 40 minutes, starting at 6:30 a.m. and continuing until 5:50 p.m.

  • Leaves Murphy Road every 60 minutes, starting at 6:30 a.m. and continuing until 5:30 p.m.

Route 16 – Indian / East Street:

  • Leaves Northgate every 60 minutes, starting at 7:40 a.m. and continuing until 5:40 p.m.

Route 66 – London Road Express:

  • Leaves Downtown every 30 minutes, starting at 8:30 a.m. and continuing until 5 p.m.

Route 67 – College Express:

  • Leaves Lansdowne at St. Laurent Drive every 30 minutes, starting at 7:30 a.m. and continuing until 10:30 a.m.
  • Leaves Lansdowne at St. Laurent Drive every 30 minutes, starting at 3:30 p.m. and continuing until 5:30 p.m

Route 68 – North End Express AM:

  • Leaves Northgate Terminal at 7:40 a.m.
