Hydrant Flushing & Valve Turning
The City of Sarnia is currently undertaking hydrant flushing at various locations throughout the City.
Residents may notice some discoloration of their water. If so, run the COLD water tap for approximately 10-15 minutes and the discolored water will come clean.
Hydrant flushing, valve turning, and flow testing are done on an annual basis to ensure proper operation/maintenance and maintain water quality within the distribution system.
Also please note, The City of Sarnia is conducting some Fire Flow Testing. These areas (hydrants) are throughout the City Limits.
