August 11, 2025 — Families and children are invited to celebrate summer with a day full of fun, learning, and community connections as Kids Funfest returns for another year.
This year’s Kids Funfest will take place Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the open field at Canatara Park.
The annual event brings together local organizations, clubs, and businesses that support children under the age of 12, and their families, to host interactive demonstrations and activities. Visitors can explore a wide range of activities from hands-on crafts and games to engaging live performances.
“We love seeing families come together each year for Kids Funfest,” said Recreation Coordinator Sean Hanlon, adding, “it’s a great opportunity for kids to try out a new activity while parents learn about local programs in our community.”
Highlights include inflatables, ballon twisting, top shot hockey, arts and crafts, dog training, facepainting, duck pond game, archery training station, and much more. Families can also catch live entertainment at the bandshell, featuring juggling performances and comedy magic shows.
