May 28, 2026 — Make the most out of the summer months by staying active and social at the Strangway Community Centre.

Individuals interested in participating in the City’s recreation programs can view the full lineup starting on June 2, 2026 before registration opens on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 9 a.m.

The summer season will run from June 29 to September 25, 2026, with holiday closures on July 1, August 3, and September 7, 2026. Outdoor sports programs that began in the spring are continuing into the summer season, so remaining spaces are limited.

“With summer just around the corner, we are excited to get programming underway. Whether you’re looking to increase your fitness, explore arts and culture, enjoy outdoor sports, or engage in social activities, there’s something for everyone,” said Activities Programmer, Mike Neely.

The summer lineup includes a diverse array of interests and needs ranging from sport to fitness to culture and the arts, including:

  • Drop-in Carpet Bowling
  • Beginner Pickleball Lessons
  • Walking Soccer
  • Dancercise
  • Stretch, Balance and Walk with Nordic Poles
  • Art in Canada: Basics
  • French: Basic & Intermediate
  • Rudimentary Tech Literacy
