May 26, 2023 — It wouldn’t be summer without the soundtrack to accompany it.

The City has announced its 2023 Sounds of Summer lineup, continuing a 32-year tradition of offering free summer concerts at parks across the City. This year’s concert schedule offers a diverse array of local and out-of-town acts to delight a myriad of musical preferences.

“We have a fantastic lineup this year, that’s sure to have something for everyone. We can’t wait for things to kick off, it’s a great opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy some live music in our beautiful public spaces,” said Rachel Veilleux, Community Services Coordinator.

The annual concert series kicks off on June 6 with Scottish Night at the Suncor Agora. Opening week continues with Jammin’ Quartet on June 7 at Kenwick Park; the Honkey Tonk Outlaws on June 8 at Paul Blundy Park; and Joan Spalding & Missy Burgess on June 8 at Germain Park.

With the series running until Aug. 24, more than 50 shows are on the docket for 2023, representing genres ranging from blues to pop to classical to rock. Venues include Germain Park, Paul Blundy Park, Centennial Park Flag Court, Kenwick Park, the Canatara Park Bandshell, and the Seaway Kiwanis Pavilion. All concerts begin at 7 p.m.
