May 22, 2025 — Get ready Sarnia, Sounds of Summer is ready to return, bringing the community together with a summer of free live musical entertainment at a variety of City parks.
The City is excited to announce the 2025 lineup for Sounds of Summer, a 34-year tradition of free outdoor concerts held at parks across the City.
This year’s lineup features a variety of local and out-of-town artists offering a mix of musical tastes. Concerts run Monday to Thursday in June through August starting at 7 p.m. rotating through five parks throughout the City.
“Sounds of Summer has become a tradition people look forward to year after year. It’s not just about the music, it’s about enjoying our public spaces, listening to local artists, and connecting with the community,” said Communications Manager Steve Henschel.
The series starts with Scottish Night on Tuesday, June 3 at the Suncor Agora in Centennial Park, with shows continuing throughout the week. Opening week includes performances by Work in Progress at Kenwick Park on Wednesday, June 4; JPD Review at Paul Blundy Park on Thursday, June 5; and Cassie Noble at Germain Park on Thursday, June 5.
With concerts running until Aug. 21, more than 50 shows are set to take place, representing a variety of genres including country, pop, blues, rock, folk, and more.
Shows will take place at five venues for the length of the concert series. Venues for the 2025 lineup are Canatara Bandshell on Mondays; Seaway Kiwanis Pavilion on Tuesdays; Kenwick Park on Wednesdays; Paul Blundy Park and Germain Park on Thursdays.
All concerts begin at 7 p.m. and shows that are cancelled due to weather will be rescheduled for the end of the season where possible.
