March 10, 2022 — With new programs like golf lessons and beginner line dancing on the schedule, alongside the return of outdoor organized sports and well-established programs, the City of Sarnia is gearing up for a full slate of spring-summer recreation programming.

Registration for both the spring and summer recreation program sessions opens on March 22, with an array of opportunities providing the opportunity to learn, be creative, and stay active.

“We’re always looking for new programs to delight our residents, in addition to those old favourites and drop-in activities participants have come to love,” said Superintendent of Recreation Shelley Kern, adding, “with the weather starting to warm up, outdoor sports like pickleball and slo-pitch will return, expanding the opportunities for participants to get out and stay active.”

New programs for the 2023 spring and summer sessions include:

  • Golf Lessons
  • Reflexology
  • Flow Yoga
  • Self-care Yoga for Stress Relief
  • Line Dancing: True Beginner Lessons
  • Stretch, Balance and Walk with Nordic Poles

Residents can visit www.sarnia.ca/Recreation to learn more about recreation programs and access the City’s online recreation registration portal.

Registration can also be completed by calling 519-332-0330 ext. 3131 or in person at the Strangway Centre, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
