November 27, 2025 — Beat the winter chill by staying active, social, and inspired with City of Sarnia recreation programming.
Registration for the City’s 2026 winter programming schedule opens Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025. The full program lineup will be available for residents to review starting Dec. 2, 2025 and can be accessed at www.sarnia.ca/Recreation.
“From fitness and wellness to arts and social programs, there’s something for everyone to enjoy,” said Activities Programmer Mike Neely, adding, “this year’s lineup boasts no shortage of ways to shake off the cold weather and make the most out of the winter season.”
City programs offered primarily through the Strangway Centre, serve about 1,800 to 2,000 participants annually through a lineup of over 85 programs and activities. This upcoming winter’s lineup features a full range of returning favourites, alongside new offerings, including:
- Drop-In Jam Session
- Gentle Yoga
- Chair Qigong
- Open Art Studio
- Rudimentary Tech Literacy
- The Facts and Chat Series
- Day Trips
- And more

The winter program schedule runs from Jan. 2 to March 27, 2026.
