Liquor Sales Licences – Municipal Approval

A Municipal Information Form must be completed and signed by an applicant’s local municipal clerk’s office. This form indicates whether the area in which the premises will be located is “wet”, “damp” or “dry” (in relation to the sale of liquor). Fees

Fire Agency Letter and Municipal Information Form fees apply as per the City’s fees for service. Additional fees per department may also apply.

Municipally significant events

The AGCO administers the Special Occasion Permit (SOP) program, which allows for the sale, service and in most cases consumption of liquor on special occasions, such as cash bars at weddings or private receptions, as well as larger scale events that are open to the public, such as charity fundraisers. Please contact the Clerk’s Department at clerks@sarnia.ca or ext. 3320 for more information about municipally significant events.
