How do I register for an account?

First visit the portal by typing sarnia.perfectmind.com into your browsers address bar. On the login page select ‘Signup’ at the top of the page.

Please note a temporary password will be emailed to you after you create your account. Please check your junk or spam email folders if you do not receive the email in your inbox.

I have forgotten my password/how do I reset my password?

If you have forgotten your password, you can select ‘Forgot Password’ on the login page. A new temporary password will be emailed to your email account, alongside steps to reset it.

How do I register for an activity?

I have booked a facility, how do I know the booking has been reviewed and approved by staff? How do I know my facility contract has been approved?

Staff will email you with your contract once it has been approved. The contract will also be uploaded under the ‘Documents’ drop-down menu toward the bottom of your Family Member Detail page. You can access your Family Member Detail page by clicking on ‘My Info’ in the top toolbar of the portal then selecting the family member from the Client List.

I can see drop-in activities in the portal, but I can’t register for them. How do I register for a drop-in activity?

No registration is required for drop-in programs. Their information is provided in the portal so you can find their time, location and other details, however you don’t need to register.

To participate just arrive at the location at the designated time for the drop-in activity and pay the applicable fees.

How can I review the facilities or programs/activities I have booked?

You can see a full calendar of your upcoming programs and any pending, tentative, or firmed facility bookings under the ‘Schedules’ drop-down menu toward the bottom of your Family Member Detail page. You can access your Family Member Detail page by clicking on ‘My Info’ in the top toolbar of the portal then selecting the family member from the Client List.

I already had an account with the old recreation software, why do I have to create a new account?

The City has decommissioned its former ActiveNet software and transitioned to a new software platform. The new platform delivers reduced operating costs while streamlining the online booking and registration process, with an expanded lineup of options for users.

As part of the transition users will need to create an account with the new software. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I had a 2023 Strangway Membership under my account in the old system, how do I access / retrieve it?

We have created accounts for individuals who have already purchased a 2023 Strangway Membership and updated it with their membership. Please contact us at 519-332-0656 or parksandrecreation@sarnia.ca to retrieve your login information.

I had an outstanding balance/credits on my ActiveNet account, how do I retrieve them with the new software?

How can I add family members?

You can add a family member via the ‘Client List’ or ‘Family Member Detail’ pages. To access them click on the ‘My Info’ button in the toolbar at the top of the portal.

From there select the ‘Add Family Member’ button toward the top of the page and follow the on-screen prompts. More information can be found in our registering for an account and adding family members video tutorial.

How do I transfer to a different program, I registered for the wrong program?

How do I cancel my registration and can I get a refund?

How do I include myself on the waiting list if a program is full?

Follow the same steps you would to register for an activity / program. If the program is full the ‘Register’ button when you would typically proceed to payment will instead display as a ‘Waitlist’ button. Click the ‘Waitlist’ button to have your name added to the waitlist.

How do I know if I have registered for the correct program?
