October 13, 2023 – Notice is being given that at its meeting to be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, Sarnia City Council will give consideration to amendments to the following By-Laws that will facilitate the transition of the taxi licensing function from Sarnia Police Service to the City of Sarnia:
- A By-Law to Regulate and Licence Taxis and Other Vehicles For Hire
- A By-Law to Permit Low-Speed Vehicles and to Operate on Municipal Roads
- A By-Law to Establish Fees for Various Permits, Services and Privileges for 2023
At its meeting held on July 10, 2023, Sarnia City Council directed staff to proceed with the necessary amendments to the Taxi By-Law to facilitate the transition of taxi licensing responsibilities from Sarnia Police Service to City Staff.
