March 27, 2024 — Work will commence in early April on road and path resurfacing in Canatara Park.
Project scope
The $839,236 project will include:
- Resurfacing of Animal Farm Road and parking lots
- Resurfacing of portions of Lake Chipican Drive
- Resurfacing of the Park Service Road
- Resurfacing of Charlesworth Lane
- Resurfacing of Andover Lane
- Pathway resurfacing

Project impacts
Drivers should expect shifting road closures in the park as work is completed. Areas of the park will intermittently be impacted by construction activities.
Project timeline
The project is expected to begin the first week of April 2024, dependent on weather and contractor mobilization. Work is targeted for completion in summer 2024.
