December 21, 2023 – The flag in front of City Hall is lowered to half-mast today in memory of the late Larry McElrea. McElrea joined the Sarnia Police Services in 1954 as a Constable, then reaching the level of Inspector, overseeing the Detective Division before retiring in 1984 after 30 years of service. McElrea passed away on December 12, 2023 at age 90.
