June 15, 2024 – The flag in front of City Hall is lowered to half-mast in memory of the late Bernice Rade. Rade served as an Alderman on Sarnia City Council from 1981 to 1986. Rade passed away on June 9, 2024 at the age of 90.
In response to the large volume of fallen brush caused by the ice storm last week, the City will deliver an additional brush collection for residents to assist in removal. Curbside collection of brush will take place on the week of January 12 to 16, 2026. You can set out brush at the curb on your regular collection day during that week to have it collected. Additionally, the Sarnia Compost Site will be open outside of its regular season, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the week of January 5 to 9, 2026.
