The Canadian Union of Postal workers has initiated a strike on September 25, 2025, impacting Canada Post mail service. If you usually mail payments, applications, registrations or other documents to the City, the mail service disruption could delay or prevent their delivery. September 30, 2025 – The flag in front of City Hall is lowered to half-mast in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The day honours the children who never returned home from residential schools, as well as the survivors, their families and communities. It serves as a solemn reminder of the ongoing reconciliation efforts across Canada.
