The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing will host a virtual information session related to Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians on Wednesday, March 15 at 6 p.m.
In response to a City request following flooding in August of 2022, the Province of Ontario has activated Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians funding.
The program provides assistance for emergency expenses and the costs to repair or replace essential property following a natural disaster not covered by insurance. Low-income households can apply for assistance for damage caused by sewer backup, which is not otherwise eligible under the program.
