April 28, 2023 — As the City continues investments into water infrastructure renewal, Colborne Road will be closed from Errol Road West to Guthrie Drive West starting May 1 to facilitate watermain replacement.
The closure is expected to last until June 5, depending on weather conditions impacting work. The roughly $1.08-million project will see 600 metres of cast iron watermain replaced to prevent future breaks.
The City is investing $3.2 million into watermain replacement in 2023, ensuring continued reliable delivery of safe drinking water, and reducing service interruptions and operating costs related to watermain breaks.
