Flags at half mast, January 17 & 18, 2024

January 17, 2024 – Flags on municipal property in the City of Sarnia will be lowered to half-mast on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 and Thursday, January 18, 2024 in memory of the late Andrew (Andy) Brandt. Brandt served as Alderman on Sarnia City Council from 1971 to 1974 and as Mayor of Sarnia from 1975 to 1980. He began his career in provincial politics in 1981 holding the positions of MPP of Sarnia-Lambton; Minister of Environment, Industry and Trade; and Interim Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party.  Brandt passed away on December 22, 2023 at age 85.
