June 24, 2026 – Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Corporation of the City of Sarnia will hold a Public Meeting at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026 at Sarnia City Hall, 255 Christina St. N., Sarnia in the Council Chambers with respect to the potential disposition of approximately 2.14 acres of parkland in Centennial Park, as identified in this Notice.

At a meeting of Council held on June 24, 2026, City Council adopted a resolution declaring the subject lands surplus to municipal needs and providing a first right of refusal to the Sarnia and District Humane Society to match any offer.

The purpose of the Public Meeting is to receive comments from the public regarding the proposed disposition of the subject parklands, including input on the potential sale and their future luse.

Council will consider the disposition of this land at a future meeting.

How to Participate

You can participate in the public meeting by submitting comments or speaking. during the public meeting. 

Submitting Comments

You may submit comments by email to clerks@sarnia.ca, mail to City of Sarnia c/o Clerks, 255 Christina Street North, P.O. Box 3018, Sarnia, Ontario  N7T 7N2 or place them in the mail slot on the right-hand side of the Christina Street North entrance to City Hall. To ensure that your written comments are received by City Council, written comments must by received by 12 p.m. on Friday July 17, 2026.

To participate in the public meeting, we encourage you to pre-register with the Clerks Department by email to clerks@sarnia.ca or by phone at 519-332-0330, ext. 3320.  Instructions for participating in the meeting will be provided upon registration.
