Please be advised that a Public Meeting of Sarnia City Council will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. pursuant to section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to present and obtain public input on the municipality’s proposed development charges (D.C.) by-law and underlying Background Study. Following the Public Meeting, Council will consider the adoption of the Development Charges By-Law.

All interested parties are invited to attend the Public Meeting of Council, and any person who attends the meeting may make representations relating to the proposed D.C. By-Law and Background Study.

So that sufficient information is made available to the public, the Background Study was made available online at https://www.speakupsarnia.ca/development-charges on October 4, 2023.  Copies of the proposed D.C. By-Law and the Background Study are also available through the Planning Department at planning@sarnia.ca or by phone at 519-332-0330.

You are invited to view this meeting online at https://www.sarnia.ca/council-meetings/. You can also participate by submitting comments and/or speaking during the public meeting. You may submit comments by email to planning@sarnia.ca.

To ensure your comments are included in the City’s Council Agenda, comments must be received by Noon, January 2, 2024.

You may participate in the public meeting in person or virtually. If you wish to participate in the public meeting, we encourage you to pre-register with the Clerk’s Department by email to clerks@sarnia.ca or by phone at 519-332-0330 ext. 3320.
