February 26, 2026 — A Meeting of the Sarnia Chris Hadfield Airport Future Operations and Planning Committee will be held on March 10, 2026 10:30 a.m. in Council Chambers, Sarnia City Hall.

At this meeting, interested members of the public are invited to provide input regarding the future structure of the Sarnia Chris Hadfield Airport. The options were evaluated and presented in the Part 1 report prepared by Explorer Solutions. Please register with the Office of the City Clerk by noon on March 9 by emailing clerks@sarnia.ca or calling 519-332-0330 x3320.

You may also provide your input and insight on the issue in writing before noon on March 17, 2026 to the Office of the City Clerk at clerks@sarnia.ca. Hard copy written submissions can be dropped off to the Office of the City Clerk on the second floor of City Hall, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Written comments received will be made publicly available through a future Committee Agenda. This input will assist the Committee in making a recommendation to Council regarding the future structure of the airport.

Once an operating structure is selected by Sarnia City Council, Staff will be engaging the services of external professionals to develop an implementation plan speaking to the administrative, governance, and funding implications of the chosen operating structure.

Personal information is being collected under the authority of the Municipal Act and will be used by the Committee and Sarnia City Council to inform its recommendation/decision regarding the future operating, governance, administration, and funding model for the Sarnia Chris Hadfield Airport.
